Tears

My tears fall,
fall heavy through the air,
Like waterfalls from a valley
spilling over until they crash to the floor,
Creating rivers and streams.

They split into branches of new journeys,
swirling into whirlpools
and forming spiralling shapes
that gather together,
flowing into one big aqueous expanse.

Through the floods,
a wave, a tsunami,
formed by heavy downpour
immerses the remaining shores of happiness,
clearing the traces of joy
from a once sunny landscape.


My tears fall,
fall down onto the floor,
wasted
over you.
